From Forest Floor to MasterChef: Koda Moss in Sweet Week 2024


Tonight marks the premiere of MasterChef Australia 2025 and it has us feeling proud and nostalgic here at Koda Moss.

Last season, we had the incredible honour of seeing our hand foraged Fern Moss featured during one of the most exciting episodes of Sweet Week, with the legendary Adriano Zumbo stepping in as guest judge and mentor.

Our Fern Moss Featured on MasterChef Australia 2024

The episode challenged contestants with two tough rounds: first, Zumbo’s infamous Macaron Taste Test, followed by a Coffee Inspired Dessert Challenge where one cook was eliminated. It was a celebration of technical skill, creativity, and artistry and amidst it all, our wild Fern Moss helped set the scene, bringing a natural, organic beauty to the MasterChef kitchen.

At Koda Moss, we believe that nature is not just something to admire, but something to honour and weave into every part of life, even in the world of culinary art. Seeing our moss play a quiet supporting role in such a powerful episode was a surreal and humbling experience.

It is just the beginning for us. In the coming months, Koda Moss will be stepping even further into the culinary world, offering a range of wild foraged ingredients to inspire chefs, makers, and dreamers alike.

 

As the new season kicks off tonight, with none other than Gordon Ramsay making a special appearance for the premiere, we cannot wait to see what new stories unfold. Maybe the chefs will find even more ways to reconnect with nature and creativity.
