What It Is
Preserved rock moss: naturally mounded moss clumps with the weight and presence of small boulders. These are the pieces that stop a flat arrangement being flat. Cluster a few at different heights and the scene builds itself.

Note: Preserved moss is real moss, stabilised so it holds its colour and softness without water or light. Keep it dry, indoors and out of direct sun. It suits open, dry builds. An open terrarium with sand and a plant that runs dry is ideal, but a sealed humid build that stays wet will spoil it. A little natural colour transfer can occur on handling, so keep it off pale fabrics and surfaces.
