Privacy policy

Koda Moss is a small moss business based in Victoria, Australia. This page explains what we collect when you get in touch, why we keep it, who else handles it and how to ask us to change or remove it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@kodamoss.com and we will answer you directly.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us. Our forms ask for your name and email address, and depending on the form, what you are interested in, a question or message, your region, and for wholesale applications your business name, ABN, website, phone number and delivery address. If you email us, we keep the email. If you bought from us when our online shop was open, we hold the order details from then, including your delivery address.

We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies on this site. To keep spam out of our forms, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a real person is sending them, which may involve reading basic information from your browser.

Why we keep it

We use your details to reply to you, to look at wholesale applications, to supply and deliver orders, and, if you joined the forage waitlist or sent us an enquiry, to let you know when moss is available again. We send those updates rarely, and every one tells you how to stop them. Wholesale applications are not added to any mailing list. We never sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who else handles it

We use a few services to run Koda Moss, and your details pass through them only so they can do that job:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this site, runs our forms and stores form submissions in a database located in the Oceania region.
• Google, which provides our email and the spreadsheet where we keep customer records.
• Shopify, which held our past orders and customer accounts.
• Couriers and Australia Post, who receive your name, address and phone number when we send you an order.

Some of these companies store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose services that protect personal information to a standard comparable with Australian law.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you are a customer or on the waitlist, and for as long as tax and business record rules require for anything you bought. When we no longer need them, we delete them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can unsubscribe from updates at any time by replying to any email from us. Write to hello@kodamoss.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

Your details sit in password protected business accounts that only we can see. If something ever went wrong that put your information at risk, we would tell you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
