What It Is
Spanish moss is not a true moss but an air plant (Tillandsia usneoides), the long grey strands you see hanging from trees in old films. Preserved in its natural colour and boxed in bulk.

Note: Preserved moss is real moss, stabilised so it holds its colour and softness without water or light. Keep it dry, indoors and out of direct sun. It suits open, dry builds. An open terrarium with sand and a plant that runs dry is ideal, but a sealed humid build that stays wet will spoil it. A little natural colour transfer can occur on handling, so keep it off pale fabrics and surfaces.
