Every year when summer kicks in, things start buzzing around here. From November through April, the rush for moss really hits. Florists, terrarium makers, event stylists, landscapers… suddenly everyone needs it at once.
The tough bit is that most moss suppliers go quiet during the hotter months. Foraging gets harder and a lot of the wholesale supply dries up. At Koda Moss, we keep at it.
We’re still out in the pine forests and fern gullies around Victoria, gathering what we can and keeping it fresh. It’s hot and it’s hard work, but it’s worth it when we see people’s projects come alive.
Every year we get messages from people who can’t find moss anywhere else. So if you’re planning terrariums, floral work or anything creative that needs moss, it’s smart to order early. We’ll keep stock moving as best we can, but nature sets the pace.
